In this role I was repsonsible for the background screening of applicants to employment and tied agent positions in expanding markets overseas, mostly headquartered in London and sourced from throughout Europe. I enjoyed the autonomy to overhaul this program during a time of rapid expansion by bringing structure, efficiency, scalability and transparency. IT'SUGAR is a reinvention of the novelty candy store infused with pop culture - a candy playground for kids and adults. I managed the new-store opening processes, drove local B2C & B2B business development, and was accountable for store staffing, operations, and performance.I joined the company as it began a rapid growth phase. My success in managing Abercrombie stores prepared me for this role at IT'SUGAR which had not yet fine-tuned its in-store operations.I facilitated product testing for a new market, targeting adult professionals, prior to corporate roll-outs. I coached other store managers loss prevention, upselling, and staff development.

As a general manager I oversaw all store operations and managed a team of Assistant Managers accountable for specific business functions. I focused on coaching my team to develop core skills and competencies including accountability, autonomy, delivering effective feedback, and strategic utilization of labor. My leadership lead to marked improvements in store operational efficiency, customer experience, and sales revenue. Theft was reduced by 60% and staff participation in periodic diversity and inclusion training programs increased significantly.
