Supervisor of 6 technicians. This role oversaw all monitoring capabilities for the IT environment, spanning across an international organization. Role is responsible for alerting and end user communication.

Working as a Systems Administrator at The RAND Corp. In this position I have been able to become part of a team that has direct influence on a researcher and their tools to better help not just a singular aspects of policy creation but the world as a whole. My employment has provided me with the ability and tools to aid in the process of research and development by building, organizing, maintaining the organizations server capabilities to properly leverage them to there fullest potential.

Being able to be part of an organization that not only helps the people but also advances the technology and availability that is used and needed in the health industry is a great joy. Here I am part of a team that focuses on the monitoring of all these systems that process and handle those things. We monitor or connections and make sure that everyone has a reliable and available access to the things they need. Not only that we are constantly looking for ways to improve the overall experience for the future by making sure we approach every actions with a growth mindset of "how can we make this better."

There is a great deal of knowledge to be learned in the role of a network or account administrator position. Being able to wear the hat of both a Team Manager as well as a Network Administrator taught me the valuable lesson of time management and hard work ethic. I was able to become a extremely proficient communicator not just with the members of my direct team, but also amplifying my skills of cross-department communications as well as working with third-party leaders on strategic execution of business goals. Having the ability to build lasting operate relationships as well as have technical knowledge that allows for a understanding of the process taking place allowed me to become a proficient and reliable leader.

Being able to communicate with people has always been a excelling point in my career. Then given the role of a help desk technician and manger propelled my personal communication skills as well as my technical knowledge to a new level. These roles have groomed an intense sense of customer facing drive and focus with the goal of providing the best possible technical service and professional products that are possible. Working alongside a team of 6 individuals I was able to cultivate a large knowledge base on a multitude of systems that include, but not limited to: computer systems, mobile devices, printers, account creations, software, hardware etc.

All though not technical in nature the role of and Artillery member in US Army is nothing short of important. As a member of the elite faction there is an unprecedented learning of what it means to be part of, and work as a team. While in this position i learned that team work, no matter how large or small is always an important thing. This opportunity has taught me many things but the value that I gained from its teaching of supporting your fellow coworkers towards a mutual goal is second to none.
