Austin Z. is a SDE at Amazon at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Colleagues describe him as "Austin is a very skilled, versatile and highly productive software developer whom I are pleased to have on our NLP team at Zoom. It is very easy for me to communicate technical issues with him. During his summer internship, he quickly gained knowledge and contributed to our code base in machine learning production pipelines. He has implemented Flask based web service and it's Docker for deployment. He has written multi-threading and multi-precessing Python code that loads multiple Keras models for prediction. He performed stress testing, to compare performance between Keras models vs. TensorFlow servering in inference pipeline. He worked on ML training pipeline, and implemented Django server login module, and MySQL database client for meta data store. He coded many utility software including AWS SQS, S3 client, and HTML parser. He researched on Gmail machine learning models for emails classification and how the models scale. He also researched and trained several text summarization deep learning models. It's amazing to see how much Austin was able to achieve in such short period of time. I would definitely love to have Austin in my team again."
