My professional roles while in graduate school included serving as a Program Assistant for the Honors Program, Special Events Assistant for the Vice President for Student Affairs office, and a House Director for Kappa Alpha Order fraternity. My major responsibilities and accomplishments included:• Student Group Advising: Advised the Honors Student Association, doubled the membership from 100 to 200 and increased the budget from $5,600 to $11,000 in one year. I also advised the Honors Program Tuition Raffle, the second largest fundraiser on campus that raised $19,000, and restructured the fundraising process from a paper-based to an electronic format• Created, implemented and advised the Honors Program Diversity Committee, and coordinated the Cross-Cultural Conversations program • Planned, implemented and promoted over 35 academic and social events reaching approximately 600 students• Coordinated and solicited donations for the 2005 NASPA Conference silent auction, changing bidding process from a paper-based to a web-based format and achieving $17,000 goal• Coordinated and solicited funds for National Student Affairs Archives Fund Raising Campaign, achieving $15,000 goal• Lived in and supervised 35 fraternity members; implemented Residence Life policies and discipline procedures and advised chapter leadership regarding policies and issues

My primary role was to oversee volunteer recruitment, training, and programmatic efforts in the 8 Connecticut-based Alumni Chapters for the UConn Alumni Association. My primary achievements at the University included:• Recruited, trained, and oversaw the 8 Connecticut-based alumni chapters with a budget totaling $45,000, traveling to all areas of the state to facilitate meetings, recruit volunteers, and coordinate events• Managed over 50 in-state volunteers, and led the Connecticut-based chapters of the Alumni Association to organize over 60 events• Supported several campus-wide initiatives, including the “21st Century UConn” campaign that secured $1.3 billion dollars from the legislature for campus infrastructure• Managed the Alumni Association partnership with the NEAG School of Education, Alumni Admissions, and young alumni programs
