For several reasons, people on the spectrum can make brilliant employees; they are often highly intelligent (we have Degree and Masters graduates and a Phd in Computational Chemistry), diligent, loyal, persistent, and precise, to name just a few.All of the qualities that make for an excellent Test Analyst, an already proven fact.However, finding and keeping employment is a more than just a challenge for people with the condition, traditional recruitment processes and workplace norms, are often alien to someone with the condition. The employment statistics confirm this, there are only 15% out of 400,000 adults in the UK in paid employment, despite the fact that many are willing and certainly capable of holding down a job with often just a few reasonable adjustments to the workplace. The cost of unemployment is huge, since greater strain is made on public services, from social workers to autism specialists to benefits received.Together we can a least make a dent in this staggering statistic, and make a really positive impact on the lives of many people, their family and carers while all the time providing our clients with valuable skills and insight.
