As a team lead, I collaborate with upper management to create schedules for events, connect with the leader of the event/party to summarize the menu, describe our system, and inform them about our staff. I also allocate tasks based on workers’ strengths to have them complete jobs to their fullest potential.

I completed my community rotation of my dietetic internship with Kelly's Choice. During this rotation, I wrote two blog posts weekly on nutrition and health-related topics, including nutrition supplements, weight loss medications, and different sports nutrition topics. I designed Instagram posts on hydration and the role of a registered dietitian.I also implemented two education programs- one regarding food addiction and the other about weight loss medications, specifically Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro. I created two informational handouts: one with healthy summer eating tips for kids and another about Jewish holidays.

I completed my food service management and clinical rotations of my dietetic internship with UPMC Central PA Hospitals. I implemented four separate projects during my food service rotation. During my clinical rotation, I had the opportunity to work with patients from diverse health backgrounds. I completed a comprehensive medical nutrition therapy case study for a specific patient and even participated in a staff-relief week, where I took on a similar caseload and responsibility as a registered dietitian. During my outpatient clinical rotation, I participated in weight optimization, diabetes, heart health, and digestive disorder sessions with the registered dietitian. I had the opportunity to observe a bariatric clinic dietitian and witness many post-op bariatric patients' diets being advanced following UPMC's guidelines for advancement.

During my time at the Food Dignity Institute, I designed a social media promotion timeline based off of a UN dialogue held by lead dietitian, Clancy Harrison, initiated communication with a local homeless shelter coordinator to aid in their menu development, authored a blog post for the Food Dignity website, and co-led a cooking demonstration and created education materials for children attending a summer grief camp.

Completed 180 hours of nutrition experience working closely with the lead dietitian and nutrition educators employed at the CEO. While here, I completed nutrition education handouts and videos for virtual learning content. I, also, completed my own lesson plan. I attended meetings weekly as well as webinars for the CEO.

I, along with other undergraduate learning assistants, generated exam reviews for students taking Nutrition 251 and graded out of class assignments.
