I am currently working in the medical department in a leadership role as a registered nurse at a prison in Raleigh. I have experience in the infirmary, assessment and triage, inpatient, chronic, acute, residential mental health areas. I have been responsible for IV, IM, and oral medication administration, wound care, EKG's, fetal monitoring, tube feedings, and general patient care. I have a strong background in social work and have a dual bachelor of science degrees in Psychology and Healthcare Administration along with the Associate degree in Registered Nursing. I have experience in working with mentally and physically challenged individuals, those with alcohol and drug addictions, and mental illnesses. I believe in the holistic approach to nursing treating the mind, body, and spirit. It is my desire to associate myself with an agency that sees compassion and spiritual healing (in whatever capacity the patient determines) to be just as important as the physical healing of the individual. I am reliable, am able to multitask and make decisions in the midst of crisis and remain calm for the benefit of all involved.
