Future Dietitian with a passion in holistic and functional medicine. I'm a graduate student earning a dual degree in the Applied Dietetics Program at Harding University. While nutrition has always been an area of interest, I want to help others obtain a better quality of life. With 2 years of experience in foodservice I have strengthened my communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to motivate others. As a team player and natural leader I work well with multiple personalities and am able to bridge the gap if there's miscommunication. My education at Harding University is preparing me for a successful career as a registered dietitian. Nutrition Philosophy:Food should be enjoyed not restricted. Diets are too restrictive and take away from the joy and experience of eating a variety of foods. Our bodies need variety and balance and we should consume all foods in moderation. Food isn't bad for you or your enemy, but too much of any good thing becomes detrimental. There are so many pleasant experiences that are associated with food, such as family gatherings, catching up with friends, or recharging after a workout. As long as balance and mindful eating are put into practice, a healthy relationship with food will follow.
