Responsible for overseeing, directing, and managing the production process of the Westminster Review, the college’s bi-annual publication that is distributed to over 17,000 alumni and community members. Works with colleagues within the MarCom office and across campus to deliver the college’s strategic messages; is responsible for copyediting internal and all external publications; and ensures consistency by adhering to the college’s branding standards and style guide. Essential Duties & Responsibilities• Oversee the process of how publications are produced including:o Traffic managemento Lean managemento Process and quality improvement• Create more online publications and extensions of the Review • Direct multimedia projects related to the Review magazine• Generate content for Review website• Collaborate with Alumni and Advancement departments to produce messaging relevant to students, alumni, and community members for Review website and Alumni’s social media channels• Work side-by-side with director of graphic design to complete print project requests• Supervise production of Westminster’s Annual Report• Gather, write, and edit content for Annual Report• Create production timeline for print projects including the Review, Annual Report, and commencement pieces• Direct production of the Westminster Review • Represent MarCom office on commencement planning board• Coordinate commencement print project requests and deadlines • Produce content for various departments on campus including the president and provost’s office as-needed• Work on tight deadlines

Freelance for the Salt Lake Tribune's Features section, focus on local and national music as well as local arts and performance. Interview on the red carpet at Sundance Film Festival for the Tribune's Sundance coverage.

Interview experts and write articles related to the event technology industry for the email newsletter published by Bruno Group Signature Events. Event Tech Brief was developed with three goals in mind: to assist event producers tasked with purchasing technology, create a neutral, no spin zone where the technology can be dissected and compared side-by-side and deliver the content that the event community wants to move their events into the future.

Managed media relations, wrote and distributed press releases, represented the Utah chapter in various media interviews such as with KSL newsgroup, FOX 13, KUTV, Park City TV, x96.3's Radio From Hell, 101.5 The Eagle, ABC 4, Comcast Newsmakers, and other stations through Simmons and Cumulus Media. Managed the Kids for Wish Kids program, managed national relationships with companies such as Macy's and Subaru. Development and outreach activities on behalf of the Chapter to encourage donations.

Freelance writer for the music section until 2010, when I became a fulltime staff writer. Wrote cover stories, managed the music section, wrote for the healthy and fit, dining and nightlife sections. Covered red carpet at Sundance Film Festival. Interviewed local and national celebrities and musicians for stories.

Represented UEN-TV throughout the state of Utah, coordinating presentations and traveling to various facilities to present programs targeted to that facility's demographic. Ran and led the UEN Sci-fi Friday program, watched classic low-budget horror and science fiction films and then interviewed experts on an educational element from the film. Represented the station and various sci-fi conventions, introduced the program weekly on UEN-TV, won an award in Outreach from the National Educational Telecommunications Association.
