Responsible for coordinating a facility wide standardization of heat treating programs by identifying critical and common heat treating processes. Implemented a preventative maintenance program for all heat processing equipment. Completed scheduled calibrations and documented the condition of operating furnaces and product.

Guided research with Dr. D. Poirier on a NASA-sponsored project in conjunction with Dr. S.N. Tewari, Dr. R.G. Erdmann, and Dr. R. Grugel into the effects of convection on microstructure and macrosegregation in directionally solidified castings. Responsible for the care of the research sample conditioning and polishing methods for the metal alloy samples.
