I represent Tierra Strategy and AriSEIA as a public interest policy advocate and consultant before regulators, legislators, and other policymakers in Arizona, focusing on Arizona energy policy. My work primarily entails advancing clean energy resources; moving the power sector away from fossil-fueled resources; transportation electrification; and developing regulatory and statutory mechanisms to address climate change. Before founding Tierra Strategy, I was the Arizona Government Affairs Manager and the Energy Policy Analyst for Western Resource Advocates. Prior to joining WRA, I was the Assistant Director of the Energy Policy Institute at Boise State University, a think tank focused on clean energy research. Before moving to Boise, I was a practicing attorney in Seattle. I hold a BA from the University of Arizona, a JD from the University of Oregon, an MBA from Seattle University, and I was a PhD candidate in Public Policy at Boise State University (all but dissertation). I am experienced in policy advocacy at all levels of government and have been working in the environmental sector since 2007 and the energy sector since 2016. I am a licensed attorney in Oregon and Washington. I am also registered as In-House Counsel with the State Bar of Arizona. On Twitter @AutumnTJohnson, on BlueSky @autumntjohnson.bsky.social, and on Instagram @AutumnAcresFarmSanctuary.
