- Oversee and coordinate pastoral activities of staff Chaplains and Chaplain's Assistant Volunteers that provide pastoral counseling services to patients, families and staff of Palomar Health. - Collaborate with Palomar Medical Staff to discuss, develop and implement interventions that will improve overall patient care. - Monitor and handle all duties connected with the pastoral care department (Attending meetings, development of monthly on-call schedules, training, development or updating of training materials, controls hours of service records each volunteer gives to the department). - Liaison with Community Clergy of all faiths regarding Palomar Health Spiritual Support Program. - Provide Community Clergy with the resources they need to conduct effective spiritual support to their congregations.- Utilize Cerner Systems (Clarity skin) electronic medical records to chart patient visits, progress, and interventions.

- Provide services to patients, families, and staff at Sharp Memorial, Sharp Mary Birch, and Sharp Mesa Vista facilities.- Assess the spiritual and emotional needs of patients to apply appropriate pastoral interventions.- Occasionally conduct patient visits in Chinese Mandarin or Chinese Cantonese.- Coordinate appropriate care in a multiprofessional setting.- Triage patients' faith tradition needs to appropriate community clergy as per patient requests.- Attend and respond to trauma admissions and patients experiencing cardiac events.- Respond and attend overnight, on-call pages for spiritual care to patients and family members.- Provide spiritual & emotional support to Sharp Healthcare staff.- Provide reflections at Sharp Memorial chapels and Sharp Mesa Vista Sunday spirituality services.- Utilize Cerner Systems electronic medical records to chart patient visits, progress, and interventions.
