Hi, my name is AV Moreau and I use they/them pronouns.With my diverse background in experiential and health education, wellness management, and professional experience in culture, wellbeing and leadership development, I am seeking opportunities to work with a cohesive team doing purpose-driven work. In my previous roles, particularly within alternative and inclusive education and treatment programs, I have overseen the daily operations of various programs, ensuring efficiency and adherence to policies and procedures. As a practitioner of nonviolent crisis intervention, I handle unexpected situations with compassion, composure and effectiveness. I am well-versed in both social justice and leadership theories and praxis, and I currently provide freelance leadership support for women in the tech industry. As a fierce advocate for the youth I worked with, I provide direction, guidance, and support to ensure the well-being of the district, school team and the individuals we serve. I support ongoing team development by creating and facilitating professional development workshops and talks for educators and professionals.My strong business acumen and my natural inclination toward blue-sky thinking equips me to develop and implement operational strategies to optimize performance, drive revenue growth, and enhance intended retention. I hold a master’s degree from UBC in Curriculum Studies: Health, Outdoor & Experiential Education in addition to a Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Arts (Literature/Business). My decisions are rooted in peer-reviewed research and I effectively apply qualitative and quantitative metrics to measure and communicate in meaningful, impactful ways.I actively embrace and promote the core values of equity, diversity, and inclusion in my professional and personal domains. My workshops, talks, and courses on restorative justice, sex and sexuality, intersectionality, and self-efficacy exemplify my dedication and commitment to creating inclusive environments. My wish is for my next role to sit with folk that walk the talk when it comes to diversity, inclusion, equity, accessibility and community building - and who also know how to get meaningful results! When I’m not working, you can find me facilitating sauna/cold plunge~ice bath sessions at Gatherwell in East Vancouver (ask me about it!), shooting digital and 35mm film snaps, and going for super long walks with my house hippo (the sweetest English staffy) and my wife around our awesome neighbourhood!
