As a student, I worked many shifts in the gynecology subsection of the emergency department where I was able to perform pelvic, bimanual and breast exams for patients experiencing gynecologic emergencies and provide inclusive and gender affirming gynecologic care to transgender and nonbinary patients.I also worked in the main emergency department providing comprehensive care to individuals presenting with a variety of emergent complaints.

As a student, I worked as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team to rotate throughout various OB/GYN subspecialties including gynecologic oncology, gynecologic surgery, labor & delivery, family planning, and outpatient OB/GYNProficient in pelvic exams, bimanual exams, breast exams, pap smears, vaginal STI testing, birth control management and OB/GYN patient education. Assisted in abortion care, IUD insertion, Nexplanon insertion, vaginal deliveries, caesarean sections, transvaginal ultrasound, transabdominal ultrasound, biophysical profile ultrasound of fetus, and the management of gestational diabetes and preeclampsia. Observed colposcopy, manual uterine aspiration, and dilation and curettage.

As a Yale SREEH intern, I worked collaboratively alongside Yale professors to develop a research project of my choosing. I presented my research on the effects of occupational activity on miscarriage rates to Yale University faculty, staff, and physicians. I further developed my research during my Honors Capstone to examine racial disparities in occupational activity and rates of miscarriage in women of color.
