My role of being on Naval Staff was teaching kids the fundamentals of sailing. I gave lessons each day explaining a new topic and then worked with the kids in a hands on environment to show them the skills. There were extra duties after a day of class that included leading competitions such as racing, semaphore, and crypto. I also watched over recreational sailing and was involved in other camp activities.
