I am a rising senior at UW-Madison pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Interior Architecture. The Interior Architecture program at UW-Madison is housed in the School of Human Ecology, which fosters learning about design from a human-centered persepective. This educational approach has provided me with a unique perspective and understanding of the ways design can influence our behaviors and emotions. Throughout my time in the design program, intentionally creating spaces that improve our wellbeing and lifestyle has been my top priority while crafting projects, and I intend to continue carrying this goal throughout my post-grad professional work.I recently completed my fifth semester of the Interior Architecture program and am working on advancing my technical software skills through commercial and residential projects. I most enjoy working on community-focused projects and being able to utilize design thinking in each phase of those projects. My strongest skills are material selections, space planning, and using Revit to convey crucial information. Building custom Revit models is another design skill I enjoy and excel in. In addition to my passion for design, I am pursuing certificates in Entrepreneurship, Business Fundamentals, and Political Science. Pairing my love for designing spaces with strategic business skills enables me to approach projects with creativity and innovation, while understanding the constraints of budgets and business processes. Having a wholistic perspective of the design process and being multi-faceted strengthens my ability to meet client expectations and collaborate throughout all phases of a project.During my final year of school, I intend to grow my skills through learning Rhino and digging deeper with design research to inform my projects to have the most successful solutions. I am so excited to continue expanding on my knowledge and grow as a designer.
