As the head of a six-person executive committee overseeing 800+ employees and a $30M budget my work was composed of equal parts responsibility and creative problem solving.-Implemented a comprehensive governance review, launched a three year strategic plan- Transformed a projected $300K deficit into a $200K surplus. Negotiated loan re-financing agreement resulting in millions of dollars in future cost savings by utilizing an interest rate swap mechanism and securing stakeholder approval.-Secured $55M+ in funding for development of recreation space by marketing a fee referendum campaign with 64% approval rate in response to expressed need of stakeholders. - Publically represented 50,000 stakeholders on issues of housing affordability, higher education and sexual assault at a federal and provincial level. Developed media strategy and press releases on major issues, collaborated with UBC Public Affairs office in responding to news and media inquiries

Elected for one year full time position followed by re-election for a second term. -- Responsible for a 250,000 sqft, building with a budget of $308 Million requiring critical path cost reduction, contractor management and strategic decision making. --Implemented CRM Software as part of stakeholder management division overhaul resulting in 33% efficiency in staff resources and a strong overall increase in AMS service quality.--Launched and developed campaign for a Sustainability Resource Centre, securing long term funding and public support. --Management of six figure departmental budget, 11 employees, and 400 subsidiary organizations as chair of the Student Administrative Commission.
