As a first-year student of Fashion Merchandising at Indiana University, my entrance into the fashion world began quite early. I joined the Fashion Club while still in high school, where I was introduced to the basics of styling and design, further developing these skills through collaboration on numerous projects with my peers. It was this experience that fostered my passion for fashion and made my commitment to leaving a mark within the dynamic field of fashion quite evident. On the campus of Indiana University, I am involved with the Retail Studies Organization, in which students and professionals gather to discuss the latest retail and merchandising trends. Networking opportunities provided me with further skill development in the area of trend analysis, exposure to what I hope to be able to use in my future life. Such involvement has helped me better understand the industry and develop a personal desire to get more involved on a larger scale. What will truly excite me is working directly with a fashion company or taking part in fashion shows. It's the thrill of the creative process, whether it be design, merchandising, or styling. I look forward to the opportunity of contributing energy and ideas to any team that values creativity and teamwork. I am excited to connect with others in the field who share my passion and enthusiasm in making something truly special in the field of fashion.
