This position required me to supervise about 100 first year students within a residential living community, while helping to foster a community for all of them by facilitating two social, educational, or academic programs per week. I was also required to manage a budget by appropriately allocating money into programs and events.

This position required me to fully utilize my experiences, as well as my qualities as a leader and team worker in order to train a team that could effectively create a welcoming environment for incoming first years at Muir College, UCSD. In this position I facilitated training for a group of 16 students, covering topics such as public speaking, effective communication, and knowledge on academic requirements within the university.

As an Orientation Leader, I worked alongside multiple peers to foster an environment where students would feel welcomed at Muir College. I utilized my training and understanding of University policies to provide students with all of the information needed to feel confident in their school of choice.
