I work alongside management to ensure effective performance and smooth running of the bridal store. In the absence of the store manager I act as manager, responsible for: opening and closing, calculating daily targets, planning and delivering morning meetings, cashing up, processing sales onto Bridal Live, handling deliveries and ensuring that all day-to-day tasks are completed. I ensure daily targets are made and guarantee that brides are happy and satisfied with customer service. I enjoy supporting team members with their development and their performance through the creation and delivery of in person staff training. I ensure that I am present on the shop floor throughout the day, helping staff members close their sales and gain add ons. I have extensive experience with resolving customer and order issues, addressing any negative reviews and solving the root cause of problems. I deliver exceptional customer service to brides and I am constantly developing my selling skills and driving sales within the store. This is evident as I frequently achieve top sales and conversion within the team. I work towards the shop target and have a personal monthly target along with a conversion target. Appointments are stylist led in which I use the bride’s feedback to hand select gowns for them to try. I frequently find that brides end up purchasing the first dress that I select for them. I have extensive knowledge of the stock and use this, along with my ability to sell to close sales. For brides that do not purchase on their first visit I maintain contact with them, perhaps securing additional dresses to be loaned into the store, to ensure that they return and purchase. I am actively involved in the production of the store’s social media, assisting the marketing manager with content ideas and creation for our social media channels. I enjoy upholding visual standards though merchandising and regularly assist with the selection of new stock.

I managed my own case load and demonstrated high attention to detail, evaluating psychological risk assessments and risk management plans for imprisoned offenders who were subject to a lifelong sentence within Scotland. I undertook sensitive and complex communication with a range of professionals, such as those managing the offender in prison, and provided advice and guidance to SPS psychology managers regarding the offenders’ management. I was also responsible for evaluating whether key people, such as prison staff and social work were implementing risk management strategies that had been agreed and put in place. Furthermore, I processed and evaluated applications from Risk Assessors for re-accreditation. Part of this process involves undertaking detailed analysis of risk assessment reports to ensure that assessors were complying to certain standards. I would produce and present evaluation reports to a committee of board members. All plans, reports and accreditation applications were highly detailed and complex; their evaluation required rigorous attention to detail, sound analytical skills and knowledge of criminal justice legislation. I produced formal letters and ensured that case records, case notes and the team databases were accurately maintained.
