As a Summer Articled Student in 2012, I conducted legal research in a wide range of practice areas, assisted in drafting shareholder agreements and various commercial agreements, and prepared documents such corporate resolutions and ancillary closing document for M&A transactions.Returning as an Articled Student in 2013, I obtained broad experience in business, real estate, litigation, and labour and employment practices. I drafted and reviewed a variety of corporate and commercial documents including purchase agreements, supply agreements, shareholder agreements, and corporate resolutions. I also drafted pleadings and appeared in BC Provincial Court on small claims matters, participated in settlement negotiations on numerous commercial and regulatory matters, and carried out extensive due diligence and document review for an arbitration hearing involving a complex international commercial dispute.

I was responsible for collecting, recording, and allocating cash revenue from park operations and verifying cash transactions to minimize revenue errors. I also assisted with the distribution of cash resources necessary for daily operations in all areas of the park. Within a month, I was given the additional responsibility of maintaining an accurate perpetual schedule of the vault cash balance for the park, a task that was typically reserved for senior cash control coordinators with multiple years of experience.

Central Teller (2007–2009)In addition to providing transactional banking services to business and personal clients, I organized and managed the branch’s cash requirements according to branch guidelines and balanced the unit’s cash supply on a daily basis. I assisted Client Service Representatives with inquiries, provided supervisor authorization for high dollar value transactions, and handled requests for foreign currency.I also developed a streamlined internal cash management process, implementing standard checklists and an automated system for end-of-day branch cash counts and reconciliations, which led to a reduction in the time needed to complete the cash reconciliation process and a significant increase in the accuracy of cash counts, reducing the need for write-offs to nearly zero on a consistent basis.Client Service Representative (2006–2007)I provided transactional banking services to business and personal clients, conducted investigations for clients, and processed incoming and outgoing wire transfers.
