Drawing on my diverse background and experience, I navigate seamlessly between different segments of the business, managing various daily operational functions including business administration, marketing, client relationship management, human resources, technology, and finance. My overarching focus in all of these areas is to design and implement workflow improvements and optimize our internal processes to elevate the client experience.

As an active member of the Innovation and Technology Committee, I developed and implemented several modernization initiatives, including streamlining the client onboarding process, implementing fixed fees, designing effective file management workflows and delegation systems, and leveraging technology to minimize inefficiencies.In my legal practice, I developed a niche working with technology startups and digital entrepreneurs. I provided strategic and practical advice to emerging and growth-stage companies, keeping in mind the specific needs and growth cycle of startups. I also advised social media influencers, content creators, and freelancers, helping them develop a strategic plan to build their brand, grow their business, and protect their intellectual property.

Leaning into my entrepreneurial spirit, I established a successful law practice with a reputation for being forward-thinking and innovative. My clients consistently commented on the unique and refreshing experience they enjoyed at my firm, where I offered transparent and predictable fixed fee pricing and streamlined services. By leveraging legal technology, embracing innovation, and challenging the status quo, I was able to deliver seamless personalized service and exceptional quality while remaining cost effective and highly efficient.In my legal practice, I advised incorporated professionals and owner-managed private businesses on corporate structuring and governance, debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, asset rollovers, and other tax-driven corporate reorganizations. I also helped my clients plan for the future by developing and implementing effective strategies for business succession, wealth preservation, and estate planning.

I practised primarily in the areas of corporate and commercial law, advising my clients on a wide range of issues including corporate structuring and governance, debt and equity financing, purchase and sale transactions, asset rollovers, and other tax-driven corporate reorganizations.

As a Summer Articled Student in 2012, I conducted legal research in a wide range of practice areas, assisted in drafting shareholder agreements and various commercial agreements, and prepared documents such corporate resolutions and ancillary closing document for M&A transactions.Returning as an Articled Student in 2013, I obtained broad experience in business, real estate, litigation, and labour and employment practices. I drafted and reviewed a variety of corporate and commercial documents including purchase agreements, supply agreements, shareholder agreements, and corporate resolutions. I also drafted pleadings and appeared in BC Provincial Court on small claims matters, participated in settlement negotiations on numerous commercial and regulatory matters, and carried out extensive due diligence and document review for an arbitration hearing involving a complex international commercial dispute.

I was responsible for collecting, recording, and allocating cash revenue from park operations and verifying cash transactions to minimize revenue errors. I also assisted with the distribution of cash resources necessary for daily operations in all areas of the park. Within a month, I was given the additional responsibility of maintaining an accurate perpetual schedule of the vault cash balance for the park, a task that was typically reserved for senior cash control coordinators with multiple years of experience.

Central Teller (2007–2009)In addition to providing transactional banking services to business and personal clients, I organized and managed the branch’s cash requirements according to branch guidelines and balanced the unit’s cash supply on a daily basis. I assisted Client Service Representatives with inquiries, provided supervisor authorization for high dollar value transactions, and handled requests for foreign currency.I also developed a streamlined internal cash management process, implementing standard checklists and an automated system for end-of-day branch cash counts and reconciliations, which led to a reduction in the time needed to complete the cash reconciliation process and a significant increase in the accuracy of cash counts, reducing the need for write-offs to nearly zero on a consistent basis.Client Service Representative (2006–2007)I provided transactional banking services to business and personal clients, conducted investigations for clients, and processed incoming and outgoing wire transfers. I responded to clients’ primary needs by taking personal accountability for client concerns and resolving complaints and issues at the first point of contact.
