Key responsibilities:1. To implement and develop the Society's Strategic Plan ensuring quality of services, economic viability and maintenance of the core values of the Society.2. To develop the communications and public relations strategies of the Society, both internally and externally, to reflect the progressive and committed work of the Society.3. To develop and implement the policies and procedures of the Society relating to all areas of the Society's work.4. To develop the Human Resource function of the Society to develop and retain a dedicated, efficient and effective workforce. 5. To develop and implement the policies and procedures approved by the Board.

Key achievements: Lead Carmichael Centre in creating and implementing successful strategies to meet client/customer needs and ensure the continued ability of the Centre to provide support and guidance to our member and user groups.Developed Carmichael Centre’s existing contribution and created a broader, high quality service for users through effective management of the existing funding and the securing of additional funding from a variety of sources.Delivered on the Board’s Strategy and assisted in the development and implementation of future strategy.

Key responsibilities and achievements •Development and coordination of all information, education, awareness raising, advocacy, training, outreach and support services.•Recruitment, management, training and development of a team of Community Resource Officers Nationwide. •Developed and implemented an employee handbook including supervision and an appraisal system for staff.•Developed and delivered internal and external training.•Designed and implemented a 5 year strategic plan and co-ordinated membership feedback for same. •Coordination of all approaches to the various Health Service Executive areas for funding. •Develop and maintain SLA’s with key stakeholders.•Source and complete grant applications.•Preparation & control of annual agency budgets. •Develop strong partnerships with other agencies.•Supporting and facilitating changes in Brainwave and the disability sector as a whole.•Initiation and development of projects such as the SUDEP Seminar and Distance Learning Training for Volunteers.•Representing ‘epilepsy’ at National and International level.
