About Ava Hartman

My main interest is urban green infrastructure and sustainable urban planning. I work in towards environmental equity, specifically in regard to urban tree canopy cover, in Bloomington, IN. I graduated of Indiana University Bloomington with majors in environmental sustainability and biology, a certificate in liberal arts management, and a minor in environmental management. In addition to my degrees, I have conducted research on the role of green infrastructure in climate resilience and food security, developed educational content for the Indiana Forest Alliance, and developed a priority planting plan for the City of Terre Haute, IN. Outside of work, I am learning how to roller skate, love to complete DIY projects, and enjoy reading.
