I was responsible for organizing and facilitating the construction of the grocery, bulk and dairy/frozen departments from start to finish at our new locations. I designed the department layouts and visually merchandised the products with the category manager's input and SPINS data. There was a heavy emphasis on training the department managers and employees on how to properly stock, rotate, tag and merchandise products. I managed the Dairy/Frozen department at the AU location. I was responsible for all purchasing in the department, and directed all associates that were assigned to assist me in rotating and stocking product. I consistently made COGS for my department and was a liaison to the other Dairy/Frozen Managers in my region.

I assisted the Interactive team with content programming and organizing panelist information for their sessions. While on site I assisted with panelist registration and answered any questions or concerns the panelist may have about their session. I also helped ensure that IA panels ran smoothly and on time.

I aided Press & PR with networking events and coordinated contacts for the festival. During the event, I was a photographer, assisted with panels and registration, and wrote blog posts for media trades that were published on the website.

My job required organizing all of the contacts and maintaining their current data and tracking their involvement in the organization. I also helped with sponsorship and researching film festivals and grants that are geared towards helping children in video art education. During workshops, I was often on site as support and a photographer.

I handled the daily operations of the studio, coordinated the schedules of 13 instructors and classes, handled all incoming banking and contract employee payroll, and managed work study employees,. I was also in charge of client relations and all communications (email, phone, in person) and monthly ordering of supplies.

This position entailed a little bit of everything from grant writing, sponsorship, and even the administrative details of running a film festival, such as print traffic, and organizing materials given out at the festivals including guest packets, ballots, and maps. I also helped organize the box office and merchandise sales. I even worked on updating the website when needed and was a photographer at the parties. We were a very small staff and everyone helped on the projects when duty called.
