Founded in 2018, Miko Beauty offers high-quality, ingestible beauty products such as daily collagen shots and collagen supplements as well as topical products including sheet masks infused with orchid stem cells and hemp for the everyday woman and man. With Dr. Obeng’s vast knowledge and experience in both dermatology and pharmacology, Miko Beauty positions itself as a skincare and wellness line that goes beyond the standard mold of today’s beauty products.

 Worked collaboratively to establish the agency, liaising with film companies and public relations agencies to build a presence within the industry.  Managed all company financial operations, including negotiating contracts with booked actors and writers and performing daily accounting operations. Planned detailed long-term growth strategies for the agency, identifying key markets to infiltrate and financial goals to achieve with one, five, and 10 years’ time.

 Established global distribution channels and sourced high-quality hair from India, China, and Brazil. Curated the company’s publicity strategy and worked with web developers to create an engaging e-commerce site that clearly represented the brand.  Managed daily operations and supervised the sales staff, as well as handling all sales and customer service needs of wholesale retail clients. Organized the company’s participation in trade fairs, skillfully dealing with foreign territories and complex contracts.  Served as a consultant to hairdressers and individuals starting in the extension business, providing comprehensive, one-on-one training in extension application and wig making.

 Negotiated numerous sole distribution agreements with countries across Europe, increasing sales 70%.  Managed product branding and distribution and branding, securing product availability in stores and retail outlets and placing the product on shopping channels such as QVC. Created company-wide marketing strategies and hired outside publicists to optimize and execute those plans.  Organized product clinical trials in accordance with each country’s specific laws and regulations. Successfully pitched a company expansion to current investors and regularly attended trade fairs and sales conferences to network with potential partners.
