Vice President - Strategic Planning
Current• Lead a team that engages with the President and other VP-level management in Japan, USA, and Europe, while working cross-functionally with resources and managing functional groups based locally and remotely.• My team provides leadership to guide strategic planning processes, M&A projects, new business development and incubation, analysis and improvement of existing businesses, subsidiary company board participation, and support for our innovation center.• My team is also responsible for cross-selling business development and ESG initiatives throughout the organization. • Coordinate the strategic formulation and execution of inorganic growth opportunities spanning several diverse lines of business, including factory automation, elevators/escalators, HVAC, semiconductors, energy management, power products, and automotive electronics, among others.• Bridge strategy and communications cross-functionally with multiple divisions’ management to align missions and formulate/execute organic and inorganic growth and organizational improvement goals.• Cultivate and maintain relationships with parent company, subsidiary, target company, joint venture partners, and third-party professional services executives regarding current and future strategic initiatives.• Streamline numerous acquisition and divestiture projects, both domestic and international (Singapore, Russia, Germany, Canada, Thailand, UK, among others), including diligence, valuation, negotiation, execution, and integration.• Deliver financial advisory services across different businesses and segments; e.g., analyze, negotiate, and abide by financial terms of agreements with third parties, assist with turnaround of financial performance, make recommendations for financial planning and analysis functionality.• Conceptualize and execute a leadership development program for high-performing, future leaders of the organization focused on strategic management.• Report directly to the President & CEO.
