The HBS StartUp Studio is unlocking the Harvard Business School network in the greater NYC area. The StartUp Studio will provide support for the companies by cultivating relationships with alumni to provide access to education, mentorship, opportunities and investment. Leveraging the network allows companies to grow in a more efficient and effective manner, giving them a greater chance for success. It is the first off-campus hub for Harvard Business School alumni founding, joining or investing in new ventures in NYC. The goal of the StartUp Studio is to foster connections and collaborations amongst HBS alumni to support founders, investors and alumni who have joined one of the numerous high growth startups for which New York City is becoming known. The StartUp Studio will focus its efforts on developing programming designed to create a forward thinking ecosystem to foster the growth of a new generation of HBS alumni founded startups.

As an associate in the corporate and securities group I worked on many different types of deal including leading negotiations and closing of a merger between two non-profit organizations within 3 months of the execution of the letter of intent.

As an associate in the corporate and securities I got to lead many exciting deals and work on various corporate matters for many clients. For one of our major clients, I managed a cross-functional team comprised of tax, real estate, intellectual property, finance, ERISA, litigation and environmental groups to close a $300 million multi-jurisdictional transaction involving over 13 sellers, 100 equity investors, 26 debt investors, 27 warrant holders and an IPO, that led to the creation of an industry leader in the shipping and logistics sector. I also gained significant securities experience including negotiating and closing a $10 million merger of a green computing company into a public shell, completing the private placement of shares pursuant to Regulation S of the Securities Act of 1933.

As an associate in the corporate and securities group I drafted and reviewed M&A, consulting, PE, and other legal agreements.

A contemporary men's and women's clothing label for which I oversaw design budgeting, production, marketing and distribution and previewed fall collection in a fashion show at the world famous Lollapalooza festival.

As an associate in the corporate and securities group I engaged in the representation of unit investment trusts and their sponsors involving their organization, federal and state securities registration, market offerings and continuing compliance obligations.
