I was working on tuberculosis disease and was also engaged in multiple projects. My work involved gene cloning and protein expression optimization then purification and crystallization of the final purified protein. The work generally involved techniques like PCR, Mutagenesis, Sequencing, FPLC, Thermofluor assay, CD, ITC, MS/MS, X-ray Crystallography.

Project entiltled "Purification and Crystallization of Histo-aspartic Protease (HAP) for structural determination as antiparasitic drug target".Worked in overexpression and Purification of Protease with the help of techniques like Ni-NTA Chromatography, Anion-Exchange Chromatography and Gel Filtration Chromatography.Supervisor: Dr. Prasenjit Bhaumik

Worked and explored the basics of crystallization of inorganic compounds. Attended a Workshop to know the techniques of X-ray Crystallography, NMR.Supervisor: Dr. Shaikh M. Mobin

Worked in the cloning of Hypothetical genes of Mycobacterium tuberculosis as well as protein purification.Supervisor: Dr. Urmi Bajpai

Learned various Molecular Lab techniques involved in the overexpression, purification and identification of proteins from eukaryotic host.
