Where in the house had that power ? The mains sockets of course ! So - bare live in one hand (holding the insulation - obviously), bare neutral in the other - bring em together !Some shocks and blown fuses later - I decided, maybe, I should concentrate on the safer end - and got into mucking around with HiFi and video equipment. Indeed - in my teens - one consumer electronics distributor (JVC, Blaupunkt) used me to set up their trade show equipment (which, in those days, was a LOT of wiring).I went on to complete an electronics technician course subsequently.Then starting out in the world, as so many of us do, working in bars and clothes shops - working as a fitter on Dublin Gas Conversion Project, working in various brown goods distributors in their service departments (brands such as JVC, Blaupunkt, Samsung, Nordmende, Saba, Telefunken ......)All the time freelancing/moonlighting in the event industry gaining experience and knowladge.
