• · Responsible for program and project oversight for three major community-led programs, including project budgets, reports, and partnership development. Hired and supervised key program staff.· Coordinated collaborative efforts with partner organizations and agencies by planning and implementing community programs to address community health challenges. Directed scope of work, administrated partner meetings and prepared progress reports.· Designed an educational program for community-driven projects to include research methods, public speaking, and coalition building, and cultivated necessary partnerships to assist in leveraging project resources and achieving project goals. · Revamped and manage outreach and program strategic plans to effectively engage community stakeholders, policy-makers, and businesses to receive sustainable buy-in. • Assist in managing the implementation of the Nutrition Education Obesity Prevention (NEOP) scope of work by developing monthly reports and invoices for the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, supervising two program coordinators, two college interns, and 56 high school youth from South Los Angeles. • Developed program lesson modules for youth to accomplish environment, policy, or systemic changes. The curriculum included research methods, health education, and health in the built environment, city design techniques, active transportation benefits, and spatial analysis. • Coordinated and facilitated highly attended community events with attendance exceeding 300 community members, including L.A. City Councilman Curren Price, to promote active transportation and healthy food consumption in South L.A. Events included market makeover, Ciclavia Parklet, and Neighborhood Council workshops. • Manage four project teams entailing 56 students and supervising four staff facilitators, preparing project plans, conducting community assessments, researching best practices, collaborating and coordinating with key stakeholders, and educating youth on community change through community-based participatory research and coalition building. • Worked with senior leadership in completing grant application for the national BUILD Challenge as an extension of the NEOP program. Award granted May 2015.

• Assisted three project managers with creating and compiling documentation from participating cities and Caltrans funding agreements for approved Highway Measure R and Proposition C projects with a cost range of $7 million to $30 million. Monitored initial stages of projects prior to construction.• Updated and managed data for 70 projects within three Highway Program regions that are in the construction phase. Database includes: baseline information, construction updates, funding updates, and monthly reports from participating cities.• Organized and facilitated the Streets & Freeways Subcommittee meetings on a monthly basis to discuss regional call for projects, Measure R projects, Complete Streets policies and other regional street and freeway improvement projects. • Organized and facilitated community meetings for the multi-modal project of the High Desert Corridor. Developed maps for public distribution with project description and progress timeline.

• Created GIS asset maps using ArcMap software and Google Maps to identify civic and political organizations, schools, and churches within service boundaries. Utilized geo-coding and Census Tract data to identify neighborhoods where council participation is needed. • Facilitated monthly workshops and presentations to neighborhood councils on city-wide policies, land-use regulations, and how such policies may affect their respective neighborhoods. • Developed a tool kit/guide on how to increase immigrants’ civic engagement in high immigrant density neighborhoods. Conducted one-on-one interviews in the community and coalition building among immigrant-focused organizations and businesses.
