11 Week Outpatient Clinical Rotation; EMR – Clinicient• Performed evaluations, treatments, and manual therapy techniques for direct access and referred patients with orthopedic conditions • Provided aquatic therapy for patients with acute and chronic diagnoses. Interventions included aerobic conditioning, strengthening, and stretching exercises.• Treated and/or evaluated 12-14 patients daily• Utilized electrical stimulation, ultrasound, taping, and MedX lumbar and cervical extension machines • Attended weekly patient care meetings to discuss patient prognosis and review patient’s plan of care

11.5 Week Acute Pediatric Clinical Rotation; EMR- MICS Last Word, Synthesis • Administered treatments, evaluations, examinations, and discharge planning for high acuity patients including diagnoses of: posterior spinal fusions, femur fractures, tibial fractures, cerebral palsy, osteosarcoma, below the knee amputation, hip replacement, global developmental delay, postural tachycardia syndrome with orthostatic hypotension, and Elhers-Danlos syndrome. • Administered treatments, evaluations, and discharge planning for patients in the Mayo Clinic Pediatric Pain Rehabilitation Program (3 week program from 8am to 5pm daily which focused on pain management education for patients and their parents, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and nutrition services). • Observed a 6-hour posterior spinal fusion and then provided therapy for the patient until discharge • Helped discuss discharge planning with fellow staff including case managers, OTs, SLPs, MDs, DOs, and RNs.
