Hello! My name is Avery Morrison and I am a current Junior at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville studying Supply Chain Management with a concentration of Business Analytics. When arriving at UTK one of the first things we were asked to do in the Haslam College of Business was to take a strengths assessment. Three of the strengths that resulted from this was critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity. In the workplace at my previous summer internship I was able to discover how those skills were able to benefit me in a professional setting. My future goals entail me working for an international supply chain company. I enjoy a fast pace workplace, building connections with fellow employees, and getting to know partners of the corporation. I enjoy being able to be hands on and be out on the floor to see the product being produced on site.

  • Collaborated with a Supply Planner, to learn how to operate under SAP, put in builds for the factory in a software called Manugistics, and planning for the following three weeks. • Adjusted parameters the software Manugistics to prepare for a transition to a more advanced software, Kinaxis.• Gained hands on experience with linked-in, by creating connections, navigating the site, and applying my findings to coordinate group discussions.
