Golden Gate Division

The Chief of the California Highway Patrol, Golden Gate Division oversees the Department's mission within the nine Bay Area counties and is comprised of twelve Area offices, three commercial inspection facilities, one Communications Center, and an Air Operations unit. The Department's mission is to maintain the highest level of safety, service, and security, consistent with the Department's goals, to those who utilize the local transportation system and to assist local law enforcement agencies when requested.Golden Gate Division is a unique and busy metropolitan area that brings many challenges to both the motoring public and the CHP officers who patrol it. With the Bay Area being a major tourist area and host to many different events, traffic volumes on freeways fluctuate on any given day. Patrol officers provide traffic enforcement and general law enforcement services to millions of motorists on extensive highway structures that include interstate freeways, U.S. Routes, State Routes, highways, and expressways. Interstate transportation of commerce, recreational travel, and the overall traffic volume acts as large contributors to the Bay Area's economy and its transportation issues. In order to facilitate these transportation issues, the Bay Area has engineered one of the most complex freeway and highway systems throughout the state

Provide assistance and training. Advise and assist Army Leaders to maintain Army Values, readiness, and effectiveness in the promotion of well-being, good order, and discipline.

The Special Representative advises the Commissioner and the Department on all legislative matters, making certain that departmental positions on legislation are consistent with the Commissioner’s philosophy, as well as that of the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency, and the Governor’s office. Additionally, OSR assists in the handling of legislator/constituent complaints involving the Department by serving as liaison between departmental personnel and the legislative body.

As a Deputy Sheriff II, assigned to the Patrol Bureau, is responsible for providing law enforcement and crime prevention services to the residents of the unincorporated area of Napa County, City of American, and the Town of Yountville.Additional duties, served as the Regional Deputy in American Canyon, SWAT member, D.A.R.E Instructor, SIDS Investigator.
