Responsible for the planning and completion of a research project designed to measure vital rates of a population of greater sage-grouse. In addition I will reconstruct the land use history of the study area using a combination of current and historical mapping data, local knowledge, and archived remote sensing data. Worked on various sage-grouse research projects throughout Utah to investigate current assumptions used in the species’ management. Coordinated between an off site supervisor and field crew to trap, count, radio collar, and track sage-grouse. Conducted vegetation surveys in conjunction with grouse habitat use. Monitored Yosemite Toad populations in High Sierra meadows as part of a multi-year study investigating effects of cattle grazing on toad populations. Worked in remote back country areas conducting area searches and random sampling for populations estimates, marking via PIT tags, toe clipping and VIE injections, as well as sampling for Bd fungus.

SE Washington And Davis, CA

Planed and conducted herpetofauna, mammalian and avian surveys along the Lower Snake River in Eastern Washington. Primarily responsible for herpetofauna surveys using a variety of field methods including VES, funnel traps, dip netting, eyeshine surveys, and call surveys. Built a database to catalog field data and integrate a variety of survey methods. I.

Monitored activities aboard commercial fishing vessels in the Bering Sea collecting fisheries data and recording regulatory compliance.
