I started as a dishwasher in 2019, then quickly moved to become a line-cook because of the work ethic and energy I demonstrated. I was trained on the sandwich/flattop station and excelled and continued to learn the rest of the stations on the line in the first year of my employment. During college, I was able to transfer to a more convenient location for me, than when the majority of my schooling came to an end I returned to my "home" location. I was in charge of taking care of two teams of Belgian draft horses and exercising them in preperations for competition in heavy-horse pulls in the summer of 2022 and 2023. Along side exercising, I also had responsibilities for various smaller chores around the barn (i.e. cleaning stalls, operating equipment, general upkeep). Most of of my duties were completed unsupervised or along side my employer. In Michigan, my duties then added hauling and hooking the teams to the sled in competition which required intense accuracy, skill, attention, and timing for the safety of the horses, the driver, and myself.
