I completed a rotation on a Labor and delivery unit, a Postpartum unit, and an Antepartum Unit. - I assisted in the delivery of nulliparous and multiparous women - Assisted NICU team in neonatal resuscitation - Completed Maternal and Newborn assessments- Participated in Postpartum Hemorrhage and assisted with medication administration, foley placement, and vital signs. - Competent in interpreting Fetal Heart Rate Monitor strips and able to identify nonreassuring signs

Rotated throughout all three floors of the hospital:- Pediatric inpatient, adolescent inpatient, and Partial Hospitalization of both pediatric and adolescent patients.

I completed this rotation on an Orthopedic Surgery floor- Use of Epic charting system to prelab on patients and adequately prepare for their care before the clinical day. - Administration of PO medications and injections, while introducing intravenous medication preparation, management, and delivery. - Participated in post-surgical care of orthopedic patients such as dressing changes, assisted physical therapy with exercises, and care of external fixation devices.

I completed this clinical rotation on a General Medicine floor - Management of care for up to 4 general medicine patients.- Efficient and focused head-to-toe assessment and recording of vital signs in a timely manner. - Further use of Epic for charting, reviewing patient records, and communicating with the medical team about changes in patient condition and need for intervention. - Blood draws through central lines and printing of labels to deliver blood to the laboratory. - Management of admission and discharge needs for patients with varying acuity. - Care for ileostomy bags, NG tubes, Foley catheters with continuous bladder irrigation, surgical wound care, and pressure injuries. - Giving report to oncoming nurses in a quick and effective manner.

- Entering patient data into their charts, reviewing patient charts for errors, and assisting nurses with charting tasks - Maintaining patient comfort and safety through performing hygiene, positioning, feeding, ambulating, and therapeutic communication.- I work on an acute care floor and I have floated to the E.R. and a telemetry floor when help is needed.- Perform end of life care for patients and communicate with family members during times of uncertainty
