Being adaptable, resourceful, and independent have helped me excel in a variety of positions. I trained horses, focusing on supporting horses with behavioural challenges, and now aspire to fix problems and help animals as a researcher. I love to solve problems and science is an extension of this passion. My interests lie in infectious diseases, specifically their distribution and ecology, and how they affect wildlife health and welfare. Currently I lead the Iceland Expedition at the University of Glasgow, which is giving me vital research experience including grant writing, field project planning, and team work and communication. It has been an invaluable experience and I cannot wait for more.
