Conduct qualitative interviews and data analysis for the Long Beach Pledge evaluation.The Long Beach Pledge (Phase 2) is a guaranteed income pilot program that will provide $500 monthly of unrestricted cash to 250 low-income Long Beach residents in the 90802, 90804, 90805, 90806, and 90810 zip codes. Families will receive income for 12 months.The city has hired a team of CSULB faculty to evaluate the program's impact on families and the community.Research tasks may include:• Recruiting interviewees and scheduling interviews• Conducting in-depth, semi-structured interviews• Transcribing interviews• Coding interview transcripts• Other research tasks as needed

The Commissioner for LGBTQIA+ Affairs advocates for resources and awareness for students who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community in order to strengthen an intersectional and safe educational environment. Serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet, advising on matters relating to the LGBTQIA+ campus community.
