About Avery Pierce
I love people and the opportunity to learn what they bring to each table. That's why I love the food and beverage industry so much. There's a deep understanding and originality woven into this industry through the food we make and the beer we brew. How does it taste? How does it look? Where was it grown or imported from? Every one of the five senses are used and challenged and every single person is supported in their endeavor. It's our own language.As Head Cook at Dirt Road Brewing, I am given the opportunities to write the menus and develop the recipes that make the food, and brings every customer coming back for more. This motivates me to try new things or to continue playing with the recipes I already have and keep making them better. But that's not all I do. With my passion to learn, I have had the opportunity to expand my communication skills through my shifts as a bartender or as a beer rep for our tap takeovers. Five years later and it was never my intention to become a cook but I've appreciated the experience regardless. It has given me insight into what kind of industry I want my career in and inspired my degree in school. I've been given behind the scenes experience in the kitchen and the bar and look forward to implementing these skills in my next job as a potential beverage distributor or sales rep.
