I applied and was selected to be one of 20 girls nationally to be on the National NCL DEI Council. The DEI Council works towards creating diversity, equity, and inclusion within NCL. For National MLK Day, I organized a book drive in my own NCL chapter to promote literacy within my community. I collected 500+ books and homemade bookmarks to distribute to the Ronald McDonald House and Kids First non-profit.

Policy Central is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization with a website and blog that educates high school students about the world of public policy in California. Policy Central breaks down the different public policies that affect teens living in California.

This past summer, I had the amazing opportunity of writing my own research paper examining how early DEI policies have shaped current corporate DEI practices and programs. With the help of University of Arizona professor Desiree Vega, I was able to finish my paper in October. I am also pleased to announce that my paper is published in the Curieux Academic Journal!

PCYC is a group of teen commissioners motivated to make a difference in their communities. In my first year (2021) as a commissioner, I was the Co-Chair of my Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Sub-committee. In my second year, (2022-23) I was elected to be the Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Sub-committee. To wrap up the 2023 year, I was given the opportunity to speak to over 400 Placer County Health Department employees about PCYC's accomplishments.
