    I was the tech lead of the crypto platform team at Novi (Meta). Our group focused on all aspects of blockchain technology from wallet infrastructure to L1 blockchain development. We have designed and implemented the only 2-chain consensus protocol that has both optimistic responsiveness and liveness optimizations for crash fault tolerance in a Byzantine fault-tolerant (BFT) setting and are on our fourth iteration of the protocol (https://developers.diem.com/papers/diem-consensus-state-machine-replication-in-the-diem-blockchain/2021-08-17.pdf).
