About Avery Chang

I'm Avery, a high school student looking towards a career intersecting the fields of business management and public policy. During the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election, I interned with NerdRock Media and its partners, AA4D and PIVOT, gaining valuable experience in marketing for political campaigns. I founded FirstGen Mentors upon realizing that I, along with many of my first- and second-generation friends, lacked guidance when choosing which career to pursue. My passion for speech and debate led me to found the Speak Up! Speech and Debate Initiative and become League Head of the CVUSD Elementary School Public Debate Program, serving 300+ students.
