While working as a summer student at the Calgary Police Service Finance department, I helped transform over 2000 papercopy police personnel records into the electronic versions for their database. Turning the original paper copies into electronic versions required attention to detail and patience so that these documents could be effectively used. It was crucial that I made sure the electronic files were the exact replica of the paper originals so no information was lost. Additionally I helped create a standard operating procedure for the scanning process of documents into the electronic versions. The standard operating procedure was created so other employees could easily yet thoroughly replicate the scanning process I helped create during my summer employment.

I worked at the Calgary Stampede for 3 summers and it was a great opportunity to work in the hospitality and customer service sector. At the Calgary Stampede my duties were to provide excellent customer service. My duties were to efficiently and effectively scan patron tickets to ensure that people were able to enter Stampede Park quickly and safely. I handled customer requests and complaints to ensure that satisfaction among customers was exceeded. Other duties included being able to organize large crowds of people to ensure that the admission process was as smooth and quick for fellow employees and customers alike.
