Driven by a deep belief that small actions can lead to powerful change, I’m passionate about uplifting underserved communities—especially children and women of color. My name is Avery Simpson, and I am a second-year psychology B.A. student at Spelman College from Washington, D.C. My mission is to advocate for change and help amplify voices, fostering environments where everyone can succeed. I have developed skills in leadership, organization, DEI, facilitation, mentoring, and creativity through various academic and professional experiences.At Spelman, I actively participate in S.K.I.R.T.S (Sisters Keeping It Real Through Service), the Granddaughter's Club, and LYTEhouse (Lifting Youth Through Enrichment). My career interests lie in psychology, particularly in children's and women's health alongside business and marketing, and I plan to declare a minor in Public Health. With a 4.0 GPA, I am on the Dean's List and a member of both the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society and The National Society of Collegiate Scholars.With a passion for service, unity, and social change, I am outgoing, proactive, and dedicated to making a positive impact through my work and community involvement.Let’s connect!
