The Early Career Fellowship is a two-year program that supports promising early career teachers, particularly teachers of color, giving the strategies, resources, and emotional support they’ll need to continue working in this demanding, but immensely rewarding, profession.

- Facilitate 4 staff-facing DEI sessions at the designated school campus to discuss and establish language norms around the following topics: power, privilege, anti-racism, intersectionality, opportunity gap, stereotype, culturally responsive teaching - Collaborate with co-facilitator and school leaders to schedule the staff-facing DEI sessions and to practice the DEI session - Internalize all readings, presentations, and additional reading materials prior to the DEI session

This position was held for content areas regarding Kindergarten to 4th grade (2022 - 2024). - Modify, differentiate, and teach an inclusive curriculum that emphasizes diversity - Collaborate with families and Special Education teams to develop IEPs, BIP/FBAs, and 504 Plans - Create an inclusive and safe environment where students feel empowered to become self-guided learners - Collaborate with general education teachers, school leaders, and families to analyze and respond to trends in student work samples while in compliance with IEP- Design assessments to gather growth data and write goals to prepare for annual IEP meetings - Teach pull-out, push-in, small group, and one-on-on instruction and implement strategies to differentiate instruction for all learners- Model and coach members of the Learning Support Team in K-4 reading and math interventions to support student mastery of finalized goals within the IEP

- Review intake assessments to ensure that all students receive the educational services and instructional methods that they need to succeed aligned with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)- Coordinate and provide pull-out, push-in, small group, and one-on-one instruction - Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate Special Education team, IEP, and pre-referral meetings- Manage all aspects associated with the evaluation process, including conducting classroom observations and testing- Collaborate with general education teachers and advocate for all classroom accommodations required by 504 plans and IEPs - Organize student records regarding special education issues and prepare reports for regulatory agencies while also ensuring compliance with all City, State, and Federal special education laws and regulations- Design standards-based assessment data to refine and differentiate curriculum and instruction- Collaborate with general education teachers, school leaders, and families to analyze and respond to trends in student work samples and assessments and ensure compliance with IEPs- Analyze academic growth data and write goals to prepare for annual IEP meetings- Collaborate students' families to ensure appropriate resources are available to support their child's learning needs.

- Identify meaningful and informative opportunities for Fellow(s) to lead instruction - Schedule daily debriefs to provide Fellows with coaching and feedback on their instruction- Meet with Fellows at least three times per week to discuss classroom observations, fellows’ strengths and areas of growth, and provide suggested strategies for improvement- Support Fellow in consistently leveraging organizational tools (flexi, planner, Outlook, etc.)- Establish norms around feedback, deadlines, and professionalism for Fellow(s)- Monitor fellow folders to ensure that feedback and teaching videos of fellows are uploaded weekly- Submit a formal final evaluation of your fellows’ performance
