In this fast paced position at an ambitious startup, Avery was responsible for the development, execution, and management of 107 of eRelevance’s clients’ marketing efforts. These clients were scattered across a variety of industries including, but not limited to: healthcare, legal, and real estate. For each client, Avery would create a series of marketing campaigns through email, text, and push notifications(app) that directed prospects and customers to landing pages that Avery also created. Avery would then look over each campaign’s performance and optimize based on data and client feedback. Goals varied by client and campaign, but most often were to encourage people to schedule a consultation, purchase a product, or RSVP to an event.Despite the amazing things eRelevance accomplished, the company was unable to secure it's next round of VC funding leading to it's closure in April 2019. As a result, Avery is now seeking new opportunities to join and contribute to a fantastic organization!

Upon graduation and after 10 months as a Digital Marketing Intern, Avery was offered a Regional Marketing position. In this role, Avery sought to develop content that would engage audiences and increase brand support. Responsible for coordinating marketing materials for 28 sales reps to several major universities and over 1,500 high-schools, Avery aimed to deliver exceptional service through the use of servant leadership.

Going into his senior year, Avery sought a marketing internship where he would be able to learn and grow before graduating the following semester. Under the AAC subsidiary Balfour, Avery collaborated with a team of interns and managers to develop an exciting new digital marketing strategy. Responsibilities included copywriting, campaign creation, and graphic design among many other tasks aimed to help the company achieve its goals.

Wanting to get more involved on campus, Avery became a Residential Life Advisor for one of the student dorms at the beginning of his second year at UNT. As an RLA, Avery utilized a variety of skills including: communication, conflict resolution, leadership, and event planning. While maintaining daily interactions with 52 residents Avery also planned a plethora of both developmental and social events designed to be fun and engaging for a community of 600+ students.

In his position on the Resident Life Advisor Council Executive Board, Avery managed marketing and advertising for an organization representing 200+ UNT Housing employees. Avery also worked with the other board members to provide training and host general assemblies for the RLA staff on campus.

After being admitted into UNT’s prestigious Professional Sales Program during junior year, Avery received an internship opportunity at one of the world’s largest logistics firms. While learning the ins and outs of the transportation industry over the course of his internship at this fortune 500 company, Avery developed a myriad of customer service skills that helped him to build relationships with clients and generate sales. Avery’s tasks included cold calling/emailing, project management, and lead generation.

Following his first year of college, Avery sought a summer internship. Few places were interested in first year students, so Avery relentlessly applied until his determination paid off with an internship opportunity at Social Media Delivered. Although the position was unpaid, the experience was invaluable. Avery learned and utilized the social media management model developed by author, CMO, and talk show host Eve Mayer. In this position Avery served a myriad of roles and was able to work with major clients including Chili’s and several Hilton Hotel locations. Avery was also given the chance to work with a variety of small businesses taking their first steps into social media marketing. Moving forward, this experience was tremendously beneficial for the growth and development of Avery as a marketing professional.

In his first job, Avery developed a myriad of customer relationship skills while performing a variety of tasks in this retail position.

After spending 4 years earning accolades in speech & debate during high school, Avery was invited to teach at a summer camp designed to help students improve their public speaking skills. Avery created and delivered lectures to a crowd of over 100 students that provided a foundation for understanding politics and the discussion of world events. Additionally, Avery worked directly with individual students to help them perfect their speaking style and instill confidence in their ability to speak in front of others.
