During the summers of 2018, 2019, and 2020, I worked as a floater, bartender and server for Gilly's Snug Harbour Restaurant & Marine, where I was given the opportunity to work on and develop my problem solving and people skills. It was a demanding job that required exactitude, efficiency, and adaptive interpersonal skills. As well, it was expected of all employees to keep calm and think clearly in tough situations. As such, I am extremely thankful for the three summers I worked in the customer service industry, as they honed practical and personal skills, which I will be able to use going forward in my future endeavours.

During the summer of 2017, I was brought on to be an LIT for young campers. Over my experiences in the three months, I honed many important skills. Taking care of the campers and their individual needs was very demanding and helped me hone my organizational skills. A high degree of collaboration was required as well when my peers and I created and ran a variety of activities for the campers. Lastly, I had to interact with parents to show them around the camp grounds and to reassure them that their child would have the best possible experience. This most definitely helped develop and improve my communication skills. This was a very challenging summer, however it most definitely changed my life for the better.
