About Avery Koester
I am a passionate learner who is dedicated to achieving my goals. From working at my family's small business to participating in relays on my high school swim team, I have always been focused on how I can enhance my skills, leadership, and communication. In high school, positions such as Student Council President, Spanish Club President, and Swim Captain taught me how to work with others and look for ways to improve our functionality as a team. I decided to pursue a degree in business after spending a large portion of my life working at my mom's small business. Wanting to learn more about the decision making process and how large companies function, I decided to attend the Kelley School of Business with a major in finance. Through deepening my involvement in clubs, taking part in case competitions, and going to corporate events, I plan to obtain the most well-rounded undergraduate experience that I can. I have already demonstrated this commitment by joining clubs such as Women in Business and participating in the PwC Challenge case competition where my group earned a second place finish. With the skills that I learn in college, I aspire to enter the corporate world working for a company that positively benefits others and encourages me to pursue my passions.
