Part extended honeymoon, part sabbatical, our stated goal was to travel around the world as slowly as possible. 4 continents, 25 countries, 72 souvenir magnets, and 1 broken foot later, we've experienced more of the world than I ever thought possible. Whether we were carefully planning our 2 month road trip across New Zealand or adapting on the fly when my wife broke her foot on Friday the 13th, we worked together to make the most out of the trip of a lifetime.

As a member of the Publishing & Visualization team, I took the lead role in maintaining and augmenting our integrations with 3 of our 5 supported third-party CAD products as well as our automation suite, allowing clients to consume, modify, and export 3D product specifications. I worked on solutions in C# using .NET, WPF, and SQL server for our desktop applications, including installers with Wix, the creation of automated testing and configuration tools, and integration with our web-based content management solution. Besides my development responsibilities, I regularly coordinated with internal staff and external partners to prioritize and implement new features and bug fixes, in addition to functioning as primary domain expert in my areas of responsibility for our technical teams.

As a full-stack developer, I had primary responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and ongoing development of our market research panel, ProductReportCard.com. I also collaborated with our larger team to plan, implement, and maintain features for our internal Project Management application and its integration with my project. Beyond my primary development duties, I provided data services to our customer support and research project management staff to ensure they could execute their duties efficiently.

I developed and maintained stored procedures, scripts, and templates for data services using T-SQL, SSRS, and legacy Crystal Reports to guarantee staff and clients have timely, reliable information. Beyond that, I peer-reviewed other analysts' work as well as identifying and investigating anomalous data to ensure the quality of our team’s output. Additionally, I prepared and executed upgrade plans to secure uninterrupted service during data infrastructure changeovers.

As a member of the Support Programming team, I supported all 20+ modules of our cloud-compatible finance/administration and utility billing product over 9 active versions. My day to day responsibilities included working with clients to identify causes and solutions for their support cases, correcting defects in our core and custom code bases, and writing scripts for our clients' databases. I also worked directly with our Development teams to identify and research problem areas and pain-points within the application.

I worked with our lead developer to design and implement our database structures and web back-end, as well as troubleshooting errors. I also implemented an API, an API client, in addition to assisting our customer support staff in retrieving and updating information from our databases.
