This passion guides me through my post secondary education, whether it is the classes I take, the teams I join or my co-op positionsAs a member of a UBC Uncrewed Aircraft Systems, I work on fuselage modeling and CFD analysis. My work involves optimizing fuselage dimensions to reduce both skin drag and pressure drag while meticulously maintaining a specific internal volume—a delicate balance between aerodynamics and internal space. This not only showcases my technical skills but also underlines my commitment to pushing the boundaries of efficiency and performance. My fascination with aerospace technology extends beyond theoretical modeling, encompassing practical implementation, including experience in carbon fiber layups. This hands-on experience provides me with a holistic understanding of material science, grounding my theoretical knowledge in real-world applications. Participation in this design team has been a thrilling avenue for honing my skills and fueling my creativity. These experiences have not only refined my technical abilities but have also instilled in me the importance of collaboration and adaptability—qualities indispensable in the fast-paced world of aerospace design. As a Co-op Explorer, I've had the privilege of applying classroom knowledge to real-world challenges. These experiences have not only sharpened my technical skills but have also deepened my appreciation for the diverse applications of mechanical engineering. Currently, I am working with Smith and Andersen assisting in the ventilation systems and pneumatic tube design for the New St. Paul's Hospital.
